BRAVO!

BRAVO!  is SATORI's outreach program for music education, and includes:

In-school educational chamber music programs.  "Chamber Music – Something for Everyone," features chamber music and the simultaneous work of a visual artist, and explores the interaction of music and art. "Once Upon a Tune" blends storytelling into classical music, with programs centered on either European or American tales and music. Additional educational programming  includes "Music –A Small World," featuring flute/guitar duet performances of music by international composers; "Sambas with Attitude," a program highlighting Latin-American music and the classical guitar in chamber music; and "What Do You Hear?" -- exploring the six basic elements of music. For older students, SATORI offers full concerts featuring selections from the chamber music repertoire.  Click here for more details on specific programs. SATORI’s in-school presentations have again been approved for inclusion on the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit roster, offering tax credits to qualifying corporate sponsors.

The Gift of Music project. SATORI's Gift of Music project collects, restores, and distributes band and orchestra instruments to local music instructional programs, and thence to students who may be unable to afford the cost of buying or renting an instrument. In the Gift of Music program, donated instruments are collected at various businesses, concert venues, and community organizations. Local instrument repair shops recondition these instruments, which are then distributed to area schools and organizations where the need is recognized.  SATORI’s Gift of Music program has collected, repaired, and donated almost 350 musical instruments, an estimated instrument value of over $70500, to 36 different area schools and community music programs.
