David Moulton, Cello

DAVID MOULTON, cello

received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in performance from the University of Michigan. He has played associate principal cello in the Toledo Symphony and Symphony Nova Scotia, and principal cello in the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra, where he performed orchestral and chamber music concerts on each of the Hawaiian Islands. As a fellowship holder at the Aspen Music Festival, he served three seasons as principal cellist of the Aspen Chamber Symphony, and has also played at the Colorado and Spoleto (Italy) Music Festivals. David is currently active as a member of the Opera Company of Philadelphia Orchestra, teaches cello privately, and performs regularly as a chamber musician with SATORI, the Bethlehem Baroque Ensemble and the Lukens Piano Trio.
